How is your Back to School going? We are now in Years 4 and 6! Where does time go eh!?

I can’t lie getting back into the routine is tough – we are now in our third week back and I just about feel like we are there!

Lots of early nights have helped but also ensuring that they are well fed with good food is an important part of ensuring they are happy and healthy.

Growing children love a snack from home to take to school with them. Fruit is always our go to snack and Chilean Easy Peelers hitting the supermarket around now (and available till around November) are the perfect snack for children to take to school to keep up those energy levels in a busy day.

With year on year growth of 32% in tonnes sold in the UK, the amount of Chilean mandarins sold last season reached over 2,000 tonnes. The predictions for this year’s crop are even greater and if you taste them you can see why!

Mandarins are juicy and delicious and with 87% water are the perfect thirst quencher. The are packed with vitamins and minerals –  calcium and magnesium, high in fibre and low in calories and fat – just the thing for a growing child.

What I really love about Chilean Easy Peelers, that sets them apart from other mandarins is that they are seedless so no annoying pips!

They are great in picnics and also to give children a (natural) sugar boost when collected from school. I don’t know about you but my two are ravenous then!

The boys give Chilean Easy Peelers the big thumbs up and an empty fruit bowl is testament to that!

How is your Back to School going?

Have you tried these yummy little fruits?
