We have been loving that summer has finally arrived.

The week before last we had another arrival – our first boy cousin for the boys and my first nephew!

So we went to visit him last weekend. They live in what was once my house!

Here he is with Ethan and his big sister with Noah.

It was a glorious day and we walked to Kirkstall Abbey. It has changed so much since I lived there (ok it was 10 years ago so I guess it would change!).  I wonder if it has changed that much or I am just seeing it with very different eyes.

Anyhow, the kids loved climbing about the ruins.

However, we soon were whilting and heading off for lemonade ice lollies.

Visiting Leeds is always quite nostalgic for me. I would like to go camping around there this summer and take the boys to some more places that I used to go to when I lived there such as Otley ChevinTemple Newsam and the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. I wonder how much they have changed.

The sun is fab though and I hope that it stays for the school summer holidays so we can have lots more family days out!
