Living in Nottingham, which is pretty much smack bang in the middle of the UK, means trips to the seaside are a bit of a mission.
I have had a thing about visiting Norfolk that I can’t explain but for various reasons, the inclement British summer being one, not made it there. Until this weekend, our last fling before school resumes on Tuesday….
We had a lovely time, camping at Diglea campsite in Snettisham. There is a lovely shingle beach within walking distance and Hunstanton is a couple of miles drive along the coast. Hunstanton is a quaint little seaside town with a beautiful unspoilt beach, amusements and fun fair. There is also a Wash Monster boat trip. We did the Sandbank Special tour which the boys loved. The sea air blew away the cobwebs ready for getting back into the routine of school runs and uniform washing.. in theory anyway!
