We were invited to try out the Super Lunch menu at Jamie’s Italian in Nottingham. This menu is available 12-6pm from Monday-Friday when you can enjoy two courses for £10.95 or three courses for just £12.95.
The menu is a cut down version of the full menu but, still with around four choices for starter, four for main and three for dessert, there are plenty of delicious options!
I went for the fritto misto to start which was divine then the super food salad with hot smoked salmon (this was £4 extra). It was all very fresh and full of flavour and felt very healthy yet indulgent.
Mr Gorgeous Boys chose the truffle tagliatelle, such a simple dish, perfectly cooked and just right. The boys’ liked the look of it so much they almost forgot they had their own lunch in front of them! This was followed by Italian steak and fries (a £2 supplement) which he devoured – I tried some and it was heavenly! To finish he had the chocolate brownie which didn’t hang around long enough for me to even get a photo it was so good!
The boys both tried dishes from the kid’s menu, which come in small and large portions, which is a great idea. They absolutely loved the menu on viewfinder. I love this idea at Jamie’s – fun and useable the kids choose their dish and see what it looks like – visuals are the perfect medium for children!
Noah had his usual spaghetti and meatballs and Ethan had chicken lollipops with hedgehog potatoes both accompanied by a salad shake! Yum yum! For dessert they had ice cream with brownie, popcorn and treats!
The service was impeccable and our waitress was friendly, informative and full of loveliness. She was obviously used to families and brought the boys’ food out first which is something I love.
