Today (Sunday) the sun was shining and the air had a definite Spring feel to it.

Although the garden really needed a good tidy up after basically been ignored all over the Winter, we took the bull by the horns and headed into the beautiful Derbyshire Dales to make the most of the beautiful day!

We really love Carsington Water which is only about 45 minutes drive, through stunning landscapes and pretty villages, away. We have camped near there before as well as taking a boat out on the water and cycling around the lake too which is 8 miles in total.

Today we hired bikes for us adults from the Miners Arms pub in Carsington and the boys took their own bikes. As well as hiring bikes the trail to Carsington Water is easily accessible and the pub does yummy snacks and meals and has a beer garden with children’s play area. We will definitely be going back!

Now, Noah did a three mile ride at Sherwood Pines and was ready for the challenge but 8 miles was still a bit far for his little legs. We did manage a good 4 miles though cycling from The pub to the visitors centre and back (as well as a detour around Stones Island), ice cream stop and a play in the park.

It was a beautiful day and it was lovely to get out in the sunshine. Fingers crossed Spring is on her way with plenty more fun in the sun!

Linking up with The Gallery where the theme this week is Boys! Outdoor fun in the sun is what makes them happy!

I don’t blame you for taking your boys out,and leaving the garden, it will get sorted and your boys won’t be small for, long. Enjoy them, they are good boys x
