Last weekend we were treated to some amazing Autumnal sunshine, which luckily coincided with an invitation to visit Lands End’s headquarters at the beautiful Rutland Waters in Oakham, Leicestershire.
Lands End are a brand familiar to most people I would think. I remember them from their brochures that used to come in the weekend newspapers (they may still do but we hardly have chance to read such luxuries these days!). They have a predominantly online presence with no high street stores, though they do have a concession in some House of Fraser stores.
In 1993 Lands End opened their UK base near to Rutland Waters in Oakham. Here they still run from, as well as have an outlet store. There is also one in Hatfield if you want to grab a bargain!
Lands End sell classic and practical, wearable, casual clothes for women, men and children in addition to a home collection. Some of the styles haven’t changed that much since they were originally designed with the colours, features and shape altering depending upon the fashion. Perfect when you find that wardrobe staple that you love!
The latest development is the creation of a new line of clothing called simply Lands’ End. This range is more fashion led with some amazing shapes and textures yet still retaining the quality and practicality of the main Lands End tradmark. Perfect for busy parents!
The clothes are good quality and stylish.i was impressed by the children’s range which is reasonably priced and fantastic value. E loved the funky long sleeved rah its with volcano features and anatomy of the eye all labelled with scientific terminology! The kids clothing also has great functional design features such as double layered cloth on trouser knees, glove pocket on coats and even a way to make the coat sleeves longer to last another season!
Thank you to all of the fab team at Lands End and Joe Bloggers network for a great event.
