This year we did a Reverse Advent box for our local foodbank to help families in need at Christmas and into the New Year. This involves putting an item from the food cupboard into a box so that by Christmas Eve you have 24 items in there and you hardly notice the difference.

We have given to the foodbank before but not to this extent.

Cooperative kindly gave us the box to put our donations into as they are right behind initiatives to support local charities and initiatives.

It was a great way for the boys to learn that Christmas isn’t just a time of receiving, but if course giving as well.

What do you think to this idea?
