Both boys are at school and so the precious time we get to spend together really as after school is usually taken up with other madness going on. Even weekends don’t really allow the opportunity for quality time together unless we plan really well as there is homework, reading and all the other chores to do. That leaves school holidays as the main focus to get quality family time and getting away on holiday provides less distractions ie chores and the chance for us all to unwind.

Skiing is on our list of “future holidays”, or at least on my mental list for when there is enough spare cash around for a much needed break! I think skiing would be a great holiday as it is something new for us all and it would even further cement the strong bonds between us as we all experience the highs and lows on and off the piste!

We visited Laceno in Southern Italy on our adventures last Summer when this beautiful area was great for exploring the mountains, admiring views and watching out for the wildlife. The Winter however it when Laceno really comes into its own and is transformed into a beautiful ski resort. We haven’t visited then but seeing it in Summer gave lots of thought to skiing as a fabulous holiday for our family.

Mark Warner Holidays, who have been offering family friendly holidays for over 35 years, provide  fabulous ski breaks and sun holidays and are offering bloggers the opportunity to join Laura of Tired Mummy of Two  and be part of their team! Wow what an amazing opportunity this would be!

So here are a few great reasons why we would be a brilliant choice for a  family skiing or sun holiday with Mark Warner..

Fun in the fresh air! We love the outdoors.

It wears the boys out. What more can I say!?

All that snow! We had so much fun in Lapland last year, a skiing holiday would be the perfect option combining snow fun with hot chocolate round a roaring fire.

Childcare! Now yes family holidays are about spending time together but it also nice to spend a little time apart. It really does make you appreciate the quality time you have together. And mummy and daddy need a rest every now and then. Yes we are old! Here is a photo of them picking up their certificate from Miniclub in Egypt where they did some tshirt painting!

Great all round exercise for us all. Yes it will no doubt be painful but such a fun way to get fit! Ethan loves getting fit playing taekwondo

The boys (at 4 and 6 years) are such a good age for trying out something new. Last year we went ice skating and I was taken aback by how good their balance was. I guess they have a lower centre of gravity but they did so brilliantly! Trying out new challenges is a great way to bond and children are always full of surprises.

Good luck! We had our first (and last) family ski holiday when children were 12 and 9 and we were, ahem. Had a few UK lessons on dry ski slope first (recommended) and enrolled on beginer’s course at ski resort. Children really enjoyed because they were SO MUCH better than us – youngest was best, then next, then partner, then me, way way behind their skill levels.
