Have you ever thought about taking a cruise with your family?
It is something we have considered for a while and last October our dreams came true when we went on a Virgin Holidays break to New York followed by a seven night cruise of the Bahamas on Royal Caribbean’s Anthem of the Seas!
Here are some of our favourite parts..
Sunsets from the balcony…
Sunrises from the top deck….
There is so much to do on board that Anthem of the Seas is a treat for children. We were able to give our boys, aged 9 and 11, a bit of independence.
They loved the Seaplex area which has table tennis, table football, Xbox as well as scheduled times for basketball, football, roller skating, circus school and bumper cars. There is also iFly (skydiving simulator), flowrider (body boarding/wind surfing simulator) and climbing wall. Children have to be supervised for the activities.
As well as a buffet restaurant and tons of snack bars you can also book speciality restaurants that you can at extra for. We booked the Wonderland restaurant which promised culinary treats and was an amazing experience!
You go up in this pod..
And have a bird’s eye view of the ship!
This is all in addition to the amazing entertainment; West End shows, quizzes, magic, comedy and live music to name a few treats. Plus the relaxing spa and pool facilities and shore excursions…..
A cruise really is about ten holidays rolled into one!
