You can’t best an ice lolly on a warm summers day. It is so simple to make your own ice lolly (and cut down on the sugar content and save lots of money too!).
When I was little my mum used to make us lollies from Angel Delight and they were my favourite lollies ever! They contain lots of milk so are probably more like ice cream but with yummy fruity flavours and the all time classic butterscotch!
When the boys were younger I bought an ice lolly mould and made them for them and they always went down well but inevitably we would lose the “stick” part!
Center parks challenge for July is to get creative in the kitchen with your own take on I’ve lollies so I thought I would have a go at these.
I used plastic cups and wooden lolly sticks (£1 for 50 from Wilkinsons in the craft section). Firstly I lined the cup with fresh banana before adding the mixed up whip and freezing.
When frozen tun the bottom of the cup under hot water and ease the summery treat out.
Can you believe they work out at less than 10p per lolly!
Delicious, easy, quick and cheaper than from the ice cream van!
