Road trips were my favourite way of holidaying before children. Seeing a country from the comfort of your own car offers you hidden gems and unrivaled opportunities to explore all the nooks and crannies. I have raveled through Australia , New Zealand, the USA, Spain (here we had a funky convertible!) and Ireland (this was a practical small car) stopping off en route to visit new areas and see the sights. It was fabulous fun!
With small children things need a bit more planning but are no less enjoyable. The car I would be driving would nonetheless have to be a little more practical and I would probably opt for a motorhome (with mountain bikes for exploring smaller roads) so we can easily fit all our gear in!
To celebrate the release of a Driving in Europe guide which clarifies European driving laws and lists essential documentation for British travellers driving overseas, created by the Money Matters blog team, I have a funky retro Summer Picnic Set to giveaway to one of my readers, on behalf of Sainsbury’s Bank Car Insurance.
This Eurohike Stripe Cooler has a funky shape, handy removable picnic set and easy-to-clean linings for years of use. This house-shaped cooler basket has a 15L capacity – typically suitable for 4 person picnic, a removable picnic set insert and easy to clean removable aluminium foil linings.
