In one way there isn’t the morning rush to get out of the door to school so things are at a slower pace. But at the same time you want to make the most of the holidays and see friends you don’t usually see, go places you can’t usually go and do things you want to do. I don’t plan things in regimentally but I do check out what is happening so if we feel like going out there are options.
Essentially though you are doing all these new fun things but the daily chores are mounting up. I for one would rather be out having fun with my kids than washing the floor! So anyway things have to slide a little and it just means a bit more work for me in the evenings!
We also haven’t done much relaxing as a family these holidays. Although saying that I don’t think 4 and 6 year olds do really relax in the same way as we would like them to! It would be nice though to chill out with a book or a film and just potter about.
Shortly the boys and me are heading to Italy to visit my mum and dad who are there. We went last year too. Although there is still the kids to see to there isn’t as much to do and the pace of life is much more chilled (probably because it is so flipping hot!). I will also have an extra pair of hands to help me with the kids. Although we get so well looked after and we don’t have as many of the usual chores to do anyway.
So this week I am sharing some of the beautiful views we will be looking at soon. I am looking forward to a relax (haha). I may even get to look at my Kindle.
Linking up with The Gallery where the theme this week is, you guessed it, Relax…
