Recently we purchased a National Trust membership card after lapsing our membership for a few years, mainly because there was so much else going  on!

We visited Hardwick Hall in Derbyshire which isn’t too far from us and had some special events on especially for the “50 things to do before you are 11¾  initative. The boys have a way to go with this age wise but have still managed to rack up quite a few achievements!

Here they are taking a barefoot walk….

and building a den..

We are very excited about Camp Bestival where 50 Things will be given children the chance to tick off a few more. I am quite excited about the stargazing!

We are passionate NT visitors too & enjoyed Hardwick when we visited last year! I’d love to be able to do #50 things but a tad over 113/4!

  11. So many people seem to have National Trust memberships these days and I always think their days out look fabulous. We spend far too long at the weekends doing football and rugby though, so no time for days out!

  12. I’ve been thinking about a National Trust membership. That barefoot walk looks interesting.
