We have many wonderful Summer holiday memories as a family and I love that they have mostly all been captured on the blog!
Last year we visited Los Angeles and although it was Gary was working we still managed to get a taste of the place for inspiration for future visits! We also had a very relaxing, and surprisingly energetic holiday in Rhodes which was really paradise for the children and adults (especially water babies like ours!).
We have also had some great times outdoors, camping in places such as the Isle of Wight, Norfolk, Bakewell, Scarborough, adventures too many to list as well as festival fun at Camp Bestival and The Big Festival. Pretty much all of our Summers of love I have already blogged about!
One of my ultimate best summer holiday memories is back from where it all started, before our adventures with the children. It was 2002 and it was just me and him.
We visited Rome, the Eternal City. Here we were kissed by gladiators..
We threw coins in the Trevi fountain.. and made some wishes..
Posed in front all the historical and stunning ruins..
And were generally amazed by the beauty of the piazzas and the general awesomeness of this living museum.
We also embraced the delicious food and wine of course – when in Rome eh!
Now we two are four and have enjoyed so many lovely Summer holiday memories I am very excited about seeing what adventures 2016 will see us on.
This year I would love to visit The Algarve and stay with James Villas, who are looking for bloggers to win a stay at one of their divine villas.
A villa holiday sounds like the perfect way to relax in the sun and enjoy quality family time, relaxation and fun making more memories to treasure for years to come. Self catering holidays give you the freedom to choose when and where to eat as you aren’t tied to any routine but your own.
Fingers crossed this dream comes true!
