egghunt

The boys love, absolutely love, an Easter egg hunt and every year we have been to one or done one of our own in the garden, at the park or at home.

This year we were sent some delicious treats from Waitrose and also a fab Easter activity to use on the hunt. We loved the Easter themed questions to get little heads thinking and learning. Click on the link to find printable resources for you to have your own egg hunt as well as stacks of other ideas and recipes.

Here are a couple of our own tips for an Easter hunt..

    • instead of hiding the chocolate why not hide cardboard cut outs of eggs that the kids have to find to exchange for real chocolate eggs.
    • place alternatives to chocolate into empty plastic eggs and hide these. We have used jelly sweets but they could be Easter stickers or toys.
    • Older children love a hunt with clues and these can be placed into plastic eggs or bags. Why not get the kids to do their own for the grown ups?

Here we are in the park with friends having lots of  chocolatey Spring time quizzing fun! It was a fabulous couple of hours!

Have a very happy Eastertime! xx

We received the above chocolate to use for our Easter Egg hunt but all opinions are unbiased and our own.

  6. This looks like such a fun Easter egg hunt. And I love the tips for changing things up a bit. We use those plastic eggs on our hunts, and put chicks in some and chocolates in others. x

    dear beautiful

  7. That looks fun. The kids at school always hunt for a lollipop stick with their name on it. Poor PTA (i.e. me) have to stick 360 lolly sticks in the field!!!

oooh Waitrose asked me to get involved with Easter too. I just bought a whole simnel cake and tried to shove it in my mouth.

This probably wasn’t what they had in mind when they emailed me.

I think you did it better than me. Bad Mummy Barrow

This is just what I am hoping to do at Coombe Mill here tomorrow. I hope the rain holds off for us and that ours is much fun as yours looks here. I like the clues, I might make a trail to follow to find ours too.

  14. Looks like a lot of fun =) We will do this tomorrow. Hopefully the park is not that busy and they wont get our egg =P #countrykids
