Here is our completely made up recipe for edible Easter nests. Creating your own edible Easter nests is the April challenge to join the Center Parcs Family bloggers – so go ahead and have a go yourself.
Of course our recipe is based on the cereal and chocolate recipe as suggested by Center Parcs Chief Creative Chef, Lynn Dixon but just with the addition of yummy marshmallows!
Ingredients- Rice Krispies
- Cheerios (or similar)
- Chocolate
- Mini Marshmallows
- Mini chocolate eggs
- Melt the chocolate. We did this in the microwave in 30 second bursts.
- Mix in the marshmallows and cereals until fully coated with chocolate.
- Spoon into paper cake cases and shape into nests.
- Add mini eggs in the centre and leave to set.
The marshmallows add a delicious soft texture complimenting the crunchy cereal. You could always try adding raisins or other cereal – whatever you fancy!
Why don’t you have a go at creating your own following Lynn’s fantastic tips – creating nests either savoury or sweet! You have until 27 April to showcast your creations on your blog.
I’m a Center Parcs Family Blogger and will be visiting Sherwood Forest village with my family. If you want to enter to win a place as a wildcard winner just go to the challenge page to find out how http://bit.ly/1okzxJv’
