On Saturday we went to the beautiful Chatsworth House in Derbyshire for their Evening Nativity.

Noah was a shepherd and Ethan was a King. The kids area actually allocated these roles when they arrive (if they want to be involved) and they dress up accordingly. The show started at 6pm and we arrived at 5.15pm so I was crossing everything that there would be a part left as Noah had really wanted to be a shepherd. Phew there was and it was fine anyway as it ended up there were 4 kings so it is all really laid back!

The animals take part in the nativity too and Noah had a lovely sheep called Sophie  to accompany him.

I nearly cried when Mary and Joseph walked in with a donkey and we all sang “Little Donkey”. The song along has me choked!

It was magical!

A very special evening and a great way to kick off the festive season.
