The August Center Parcs challenge is now live here!
This month’s challenge is to record your fun summer memories and here are some great tips of ways to chronicle your activites.
I loved the idea of the boys drawing their summer memories so set them to work illustrating the memorable things we have been doing in the holidays.
We have just got back from the fabulous Camp Bestival in Dorset (early bird tickets go on sale for the 2015 festival here today!) and so all the fun we had there was, of course, fresh in their memories.
I had to do a little memory jogging to remind them of all the fun things we had done before heading to Camp Bestival as we had had four nights camping in the Isle of Wight too!
Ethan, who is 7, firstly said “camping” in the hope this would cover all bases. In the end he drew the ferry (as this was the boys first time on a ferry!), the chair lift we got to the Needles beach and the Helter Skelter at Camp Bestival.
Noah’s drawings need a little more interpretation! He drew the very impressive jousting from The Knights of Middle England that we saw at Camp Bestival and the Big Wheel we went on. I love how he has drawn the long queue of people that were patiently waiting to go on the ride!
Noah was feeling particuarly artistic and drew a second picture of the ferry, the awesome Wall of Death which we watched at Camp Bestival and I think the red scribble at the end is the chair lift in the Isle of Wight.
I think this is a lovely way of seeing what your children remember about their summer holidays and great fun too to do some structured creative play.
You can also be in with the chance of becoming a Center Parcs blogger and having some brilliant family time of one of their excellent villages! Here is the video of what we got up to when we were there in June.
I’m a Center Parcs Family Blogger and have visited Sherwood Forest village with my family. If you want to enter to win a place as a wildcard winner just go to the challenge page to find out how
