Mother's Day breakfast with M&S

Is breakfast in bed an essential treat for mum in your house on Mother’s Day?

It always was a regular routine when we were growing up and my mum would choose what she desired from our hand drawn menu and then eat the yummy treats we had prepared for her (OK it was probably soggy cornflakes and burnt toast but, you know, we did our best!).

Well, we were invited by Marks and Spencer to trial a Mother’s Day special breakfast in bed.ย As my dear mamma is away in Italy (enjoying the peace and quiet!), it fell on me to enjoy the treats (sorry mum I owe you one when you get back ๐Ÿ™‚

Marks and Spencer food is always a delicious treat and definitely the perfect start to Mother’s Day to spoil mum and set her up for her special day. The range of delicious baked breakfast goodies, fresh fruit, cereals and dairy products are unrivalled.

Mr Gorgeous Boys was put in charge of organising and supervising the boys creating the perfect Mother’s Day breakfast and this is what they came up with from shopping to preparing and serving

The boys really enjoyed choosing what they thought mummy would like and felt very grown up going around Marks and Spencer pushing the trolley.

Up early (as usual_ they thoroughly enjoyed preparing the fruit salad, cracking the eggs for the scrambled eggs, trying out the smoked salmon (not keen) and toasting the sunflower bread. The stylish breakfast dining set and great The tray was too heavy for their small hands so daddy had to give them plenty of help but they loved making the special treat!

For more delicious Mother’s Day breakfast ideas Marks and Spencer have some fab recipes to create to say thank you to the special lady in your life. The crispy bacon and avocado toasts sound delicious!

Marks and Spencer never disappoint ย with their flowers andย gift selection either. The gerbera, stocks and roses arrangement smells amazing and looks beautiful. I love the great qualityย funky Jack Russell cushion to brighten up the sofa and what mum doesn’t love a bit of pampering?!

I felt thoroughly spoilt and it was a brilliant treat. Actual Mother’s Day is on 30 March 2014 so plenty of time for found 2 to be planned! Will I have two Mother’s Day’s now, that is the question? Can it match this very delicious and decadent one!

What is your idea of a perfect Mother’s Day? Would love to hear any special traditions or yummy recipes for breakfast in bed that you have!
